Yasmin Brown

I have long been interested in the interplay between cognitive and psychological factors and their influence on eating behaviours.

At the Three Squares Lab I hope to contribute to research in the areas of disordered eating, obesity, and body image.


Joan Tan

Growing up in Singapore, I have always been interested in how different cultures play a part in people’s understanding of healthy and unhealthy.

I hope to contribute to the literary research in Three Squares Lab and gain knowledge from professionals in this exciting field.


Dr. Dean Spirou

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
SENIOR RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Dr.Spirou is a Clinical Psychologist and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Blacktown Metabolic and Weight Loss Program at Blacktown Hospital.
He is also a Conjoint Associate Lecturer in the School of Medicine at Western Sydney University.
He has a special interest in extending our understanding on the role of psychological mechanisms in adult obesity and weight management.
Dr.Spirou’s post-doctoral research is focused on building upon this research, and expanding into the area of eating disorders, trauma, and schema therapy for obesity.


Kate McIntyre

I have always had a strong interest in eating disorders and eating behaviours for a range of individuals and understanding the social,
psychological, and cognitive factors that influence these behaviours.
At the Three Squares Lab, I hope to contribute to the research around the areas of eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image.


Alice Fung

My interests lie in a wide range of psychological issues in the clinical area, including disordered eating behaviours
and the interlinks between psychology and human health behaviours.  I hope to be able to get involved and contribute in a variety of
research work and projects at the Three Square Lab including projects concerning eating behaviours and body images.
